Trap Neuter Return
What is TNR/TNVR?
Trap-Neuter-Return / Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return
TNR/TNVR is the practice of humanely trapping a stray or feral cat to have it spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and either returned to the neighborhood it was living in or rescued to be re-homed.
WAC supports and practices TNR/TNVR because it is the only humane way to reduce the number of homeless kittens being born.
Stray Cat vs. Feral Cat
Stray Cats
Stray cats are neighbor's cats left to roam the area with little attention at home or lost/abandoned pets.
Feral Cats
Feral cats are stray cats that have been living wild for so long they no longer trust people, or they are the offspring of stray cats and have never had close human interaction.
Cat Colonies
Cat Colonies are groups of more than two stray or feral cats that have chosen to live together in an area where they feel safe, can find some shelter and are finding a food source.
How does WAC support TNR/TNVR?
Mission M.E.O.W

Where has WAC provided support?
